The Finger Lakes Visitors Connection Board of Directors consists of 17 members, all appointed by Ontario County. One member of the board is a representative of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors and is appointed on an annual basis. All other members are appointed to three year staggered terms, after a recommendation by the FLVC's nominating committee and board of directors. The Ontario County Planning and Research Committee ultimately recommends appointment to the Ontario County Board of Supervisors. Three members of the Board of Directors must represent the lodging industry, according to the bylaws.

In addition, there are ex-officio members of the Board of Directors. These ex-officio members represent the Canandaigua and Geneva Chambers of Commerce, the Finger Lakes Community College, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and Ontario County Historian's office.
